Digital Strategist (Michigan)

Elissa Slotkin for Michigan is seeking a Digital Strategist for the 2024 cycle. The Digital Strategist role will have the chance to work closely with the communications and digital teams to assist in implementing communication strategies and create written and video content for social media.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist in writing email, SMS, and social fundraising copy; assist in email and SMS production
• Fact check and proofread content
• Help manage a fundraising content calendar
• Regularly track metrics to ensure the Campaign is making data-driven decisions
• Assist in developing online projections, reports, and memos
• Develop rapid response content in real-time
• Work with the digital team to brainstorm unique and creative ideas that will set the Campaign’s online fundraising apart from others

Qualifications:

• Extremely organized with ability to track multiple priorities at once.
• Effective communicator who can clearly communicate progress to goal as well as strong creative writing skills.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic who is willing to work non-traditional hours on occasion.
• At least 1 year of experience from relevant coursework, internships, a similar position, or a position outside the digital space.
• Campaign experience is a plus, but not required.
• Social media content creation experience is a plus, but not required.
• Eagerness to explore new platforms and technologies to support campaign goals.
• Day-to-day work will be a combination of remote and in person work in metro Detroit.

Compensation:

$4,500-5,500, commensurate with experience.
